WORCESTER — Representative Keiko Orrall of Lakeville was nominated by acclamation Saturday to run for state treasurer at the Massachusetts Republican State Convention.
“In the Legislature, there’s no stronger ally for taxpayers and small businesses than Keiko Orrall, and we’re excited that she’s ready to take her leadership to the Treasury,” said MassGOP Chairman Kirsten Hughes in a statement released by the state GOP. “Keiko has a well-earned reputation as a collaborative leader focused on delivering pro-growth, fiscally responsible policies. Massachusetts would be lucky to have Keiko Orrall as our treasurer, and the MassGOP is proud to support her campaign.”
“I’m thankful to the Convention for their trust in me, and I’m honored to accept the Republican nomination for state treasurer,” Orrall said after she was nominated. “It’s time for a course correction at the Treasury, and I have the experience and vision to improve outcomes for taxpayers. From reducing burdensome regulations, to better managing agencies like the ABCC and Lottery, I know we can make the Treasury more modern and responsive to the needs of the people it serves. I’m up for the task: you can ’Count On Keiko!
Orrall represents the 12th Bristol District, which consists of Berkley and Lakeville and parts of Taunton and Middleboro.
